Challenge

Domestic violence victims have little more than the clothes on their backs. A cell phone is critical for them to access services and get to safety.

Solution

With this project 5 domestic violence victims will be given a pre-paid cell phone to use on an emergency basis as they are getting from danger to safety. Statistics show that the most dangerous time and highest possibility of lethality is when victims leave. This project aims to help get victims to safety immediately.

Long-Term Impact

The project serves 500 women per year empowering them to find alternatives to a life of violence so their children grow up in violence free homes with their self-esteem in tact with the hope of stopping the cycle of violence in future generations.
