Project Personnel

Anthony Mucheru - Project Leader

Anthony, manager of the Vocational Skills Training project, has extensive experience in project management and youth and community development. He has been manager with SYSC since 2000, and is an adept in community needs assessment, program development, implementation, monitoring and review, volunteer recruitment and budget management. He also provides strategic advice to the Board.

Martin Muita - Vocational Skills Trainer/Youth Support Worker

A Youth Support Worker with SYSC since 2001, Martin has experience managing youth development programs and volunteers, providing counseling, life skills and leadership training, delivering HIV/AIDS education, and coordinating outreach programs and the provision of food and clothing at SYSC's drop-in centre. He also a trained industrial engineering technician (welding) with15 years work experience.

Tirus Ndegwa - Vocational Skills Trainer/Youth Support Worker

Tirus is an experienced youth support worker and trained industrial engineering technician. With SYSC, Tirus leads youth development programs, provides community counseling, life skills and leadership training, manages volunteers, facilitates HIV/AIDS education and coordinates SYSC's Scouts Program. He is also an active volunteer (e.g., counselor for commercial sex workers).
