This past year, we have been able to provide consistent acupuncture to the people of Chanauti. Due to a very high demand and heavy patient load, we need to staff the clinic with another volunteer acupuncturist. One volunteer treats 30 patients a day, while close to 60 show up hoping to get an appointment. Adding another volunteer will help more patients be treated on a daily basis, but also desperately increases our need for supplies!
Clearly, there is a need in this village, as well as a desire on the part of the community itself to bring acupuncture here. Please help MMW support the clinic staff with the supplies needed to treat each patient that shows up to the clinic. It is important we have the proper supplies at the clinic to ensure everyone gets the treatment they need.
Raising $5,000 will allow us to provide necessary needles, herbs, and all other clinic supplies to ensure our volunteers have all the tools they need in Chanauti to treat the community.
MMW trains local youth to become English language interpreters and those who show an interest and skill in learning this medicine will be selected to join our acupuncture training program so that we can provide sustainable care to each of our communities.
