A Year of Meals for Wilson

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
A Year of Meals for Wilson

Summary

This project will provide a year of nutritious food for seven year old Wilson. Wilson was brought to the orphanage by his grandparents. They made the difficult choice to give him up because they couldn't feed or educate Wilson, and they wanted him to have a bright future. Wilson is on the orphanage's best students - he simply loves school. Nutritious food is key to keeping him strong, healthy and learning.

Challenge

Following the effects of tropical storm Isaac and Hurricane Sandy in Haiti, the cost of food has almost doubled. This makes it far more difficult for the orphanage to buy the food it needs. Without your help, Wilson may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving him more vulnerable to illness.

Solution

By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Wilson needs to stay healthy.

Long-Term Impact

A healthy, balanced diet prevents illness and promotes healthy growth. By providing the nutritious food Wilson needs, you're preventing illness and helping him grow up strong!
