A Year of Meals for Rose

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
A Year of Meals for Rose

Summary

This project will provide a year of nutritious food for 11 year old Rose. Rose was brought to the orphanage because she was mistreated by a family member who she could no longer live with. This was very hard on Rose but she's adjusted well and she's a big help with looking after the younger kids at the orphanage. Rose deserves a good life, but without nutritious meals to keep her growing, Rose's future will be bleak.

Challenge

As an orphan, Rose is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There isn't a nationwide child protection service operating in Haiti to provide for her basic needs. This means that, without your help, Rose may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving her more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.

Solution

By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Rose needs to stay healthy.

Long-Term Impact

A healthy, balanced diet prevents illness and promotes healthy growth. By providing the nutritious food Rose needs, you're preventing illness and helping her grow up strong!
