This project will provide a year of nutritious food for four year old Florentina. Florentina is four. She was brought to the orphanage by an aunt after her parents abandoned her. She's one of the most exuberant, out-going kids at the orphanage, but she struggles with a skin condition which leaves her vulnerable to infections. Nutritious food is key to keeping her strong and healthy.
Following the effects of tropical storm Isaac and Hurricane Sandy in Haiti, the cost of food has almost doubled. This makes it far more difficult for the orphanage to buy the food it needs. Without your help, Florentina may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving her more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.
