This project will provide a year of nutritious food for Chanini. 8 year old Chanini was cared for by her grandmother before the earthquake, along with 9 other kids. But after the earthquake, their grandmother couldn't afford to look after all 10 children, so she gave Chanini to the orphanage. Chanini loves to sing and dance, and she looks forward to school every day. But without nutritious meals to keep her growing, Chanini's future will be bleak.
As an orphan, Chanini is among the most vulnerable of Haitian children. There isn't a nationwide child protection service operating in Haiti to provide for her basic needs. This means that, without your help, Chanini may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving her more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.
