Your donation matters! Every donation supports the great work these project leaders are doing.
And your donation has the potential to have an even greater impact by helping these projects get
one step closer to 50 donors and $3,000. Once projects cross this threshold, they are invited to
remain on the GlobalGiving site and take advantage of our fundraising tools.

Updated March 4, 2010: The Challenge will be extended to March 15, 2010 at
11:59 p.m. EDT for all projects that have raised at least $1,000 from at least 20 donors by
11:59 p.m. EDT March 9, 2010. 11:59 p.m. EDT on March 9, 2010 will be referred to as the end
of "Regulation Time", and 11:59 p.m. EDT on Match 15, 2010 will be referred to as the end of
"Overtime".
If a project does not raise at least $1,000 from at least 20 donors by 11:59 p.m. EDT on March 9, 2010, that project will be removed from the leaderboard and no longer eligible to participate in the 2010 Nourish International Challenge.
Bonus prizes will be awarded first to any and all eligible projects at the end of "Regulation Time". Projects are only eligible if they have raised at least $3,000 from 50 donors. Any prizes not claimed in "Regulation Time" will be held for distribution to eligible projects at the end of "Overtime". Project still must raise at least $3,000 from at least 50 donors to be eligible for prizes at the end of "Overtime".
One project may win a prize for both top dollars raised, as well as the prize for most number of donors. However, a single project may not win two prizes for most dollars raised. If at least three projects do not raise $3,000 from at least 50 donors by the end of "Regulation Time" or "Overtime", then unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
Online donations will be accepted through March 15 2010 until 11:59 EST. Checks received
by March 12 will be included in the Challenge and will count towards the number of unique
donors for each project. Checks received after March 12 will be applied to the indicated
project, but will not count towards the Challenge. Checks should be made payable to the
GlobalGiving Foundation and should clearly indicate the project to which the funds
should be applied. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept cash donations.
Online donations are considered unique if they are made from separate credit
cards. The same credit card may be used for multiple online donations; however this
will count as one unique donor. However, both of the donations will count towards
your donation goal of $3,000. The same rule applies to unique checks. Unique checks
refer to checks issued on unique checking accounts.
Transaction fee for donations: GlobalGiving charges a 15% fee, but works to keep the
fees you pay as low as possible while providing you great services and resources.
The 15% fee helps cover the costs we incur to promote your organization and
projects, provide you with fundraising training and tools, and maintain and improve
our online technology in order to keep you connecting with new donors. With our new
add-on option, we also offer the donor the opportunity to make an additional
donation to cover the fee so that you receive the intended amount.
Please note that GlobalGiving maintains the right to make a final decision on
all matters concerning the adjudication of unique donors and final results of
the Nourish International Project Challenge.
