The north coast of Japan was hit by a horrible tsunami after an 9.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred 80 miles offshore. The largest earthquake to strike Japan on record, millions of people have been affected by this massive disaster.

Through our network of project partners, who pass GlobalGiving's rigorous due diligence process, issues as diverse as immediate relief and animal safety are being addressed. The Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund is composed of a subset of the projects featured on this page as well as other Japanese NGOs.
