What does Superstar, Leader, and Partner mean?

All organizations on GlobalGiving go through a rigorous due diligence review, satisfy IRS guidelines for international grant-making and tax deductibility, and follow Treasury Department guidelines for anti-terrorism. All projects are safe to give to and are backed by the GlobalGiving Satisfaction Guarantee.

To help sort and filter the thousands of projects on our site, GlobalGiving has developed a system to track the performance of organizations.

Superstar

Superstar level organizations have passed GlobalGiving's due diligence process, raised at least $24,000 on GlobalGiving, have been on the site for at least a year, post regular project reports, and have met all of the necessary criteria to earn this status.

Leader

Leader level organizations have passed GlobalGiving's due diligence process, raised at least $4,000 on GlobalGiving, have been on the site for at least 9 months, have started to post regular project reports, and have met all of the necessary criteria to earn this status.

Partner

Partner level organizations have passed GlobalGiving's due diligence process, have posted a project, and are working on meeting the necessary critera for Leader or Superstar level.
