Last Friday, Sept. 28, a shallow 7.5 magnitude earthquake created a 15-foot tsunami off the coast of Sulawesi, a central island in Indonesia. That deadly combination and resulting mudslides have claimed more than 1,400 lives so far and destroyed countless homes. The areas surrounding Donggala and Palu were flattened, and now lie gutted as survivors flee to safer ground.
Recovering from twin disasters of this gravity will take years. Donate to the Indonesia Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund today to help our vetted, community-led nonprofit partners deliver immediate relief now and lead recovery efforts in the months and years to come.

When disasters like this earthquake and tsunami strike, recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities are often underfunded. This means some of the most vulnerable people in the path of the storm get overlooked. By funding community-led nonprofits, like those supported by our Indonesia Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund, you’re helping change that reality.
