if you think I'm awesome, you should see my dad...
Do you know a great dad? A man who can check for monsters under the bed, rid the house of scary bugs, or get you out of a tight pickle by opening a stubborn jar of relish all while making awesome(ly bad) puns?

We invite you to honor that pun-loving guy in your life by helping another man reach his potential this Father’s Day.

Meet Ronnell Alexander, father to 2-year-old Elisha, and a participant in Baby Buggy’s innovative fatherhood program in the Bronx. With Father’s Day coming up this weekend, we asked Ronnell what his Super Dad skills are:

“I’m Mr. Fix-It, the Boo-Boo Patrol, and the Early Bird, who is up first thing in the morning getting Elisha ready for preschool,” he told us.

Ronnell is a really great dad.

He’s raising his daughter in one of the poorest communities in the US – a New York neighborhood that lacks social services for dads like him. Baby Buggy’s aim is to make sure that another generation of kids doesn't have to grow up without the influence of supportive fathers. “I’ve had my share of ups and downs and this program has helped me with anger issues and with relationship issues…it helps me be a better father.

Along with career counseling and other training and support, Baby Buggy got Ronnell on a roll with clothing, diapers, a crib, and a stroller for Elisha. “I’m grateful because this really helps relieve the financial burden for meI appreciate any extra help I can get,” Ronnell told us.

This Father’s Day, will you honor a really great father in your life by helping a dad like Ronnell get into his parenting groove?
You can even send a tribute card to let a special man know that you donated in his honor.

For those of you dads out there, thank you for all you do to support your families and communities. We hope you have a great Father’s Day!

Warmly,

p.s. an extra-special thanks one of our GlobalGiving dads, Kevin Conroy, for contributing to the dad puns in this email. He generously sent us ten different puns to choose from, hoping that at least one of them would make us laugh. No pun in ten did.
