This fund will provide assistance to people affected by flooding on the Gulf Coast from Hurricane Isaac. Funds raised will be disbursed to organizations working in the area to provide aid and relief to those affected by the storm system.
Hurricane Isaac has made landfall and has been downgraded to a tropical depression. Although the damage from hurricane force winds has been minimal, there has been extensive damage from widespread flooding.
This fund will support to several organizations providing emergency and long term relief along the Gulf Coast for those affected by Hurricane Isaac and the resulting floods, including the Save the Children.
Natural disasters always require a huge amount of support to provide immediate relief and long term recovery efforts. In this case, these initial funds will help people affected by the storm system get necessary services and supplies. Over time this fund will transition to support longer term recovery efforts.
