What is the challenge?
Over the last two years, GlobalGiving has teamed up with Innocentive
and the Rockefeller Foundation to crowdsource
solutions to some of the most pressing problems facing communities around the world. Four GlobalGiving partner organizations
submitted the biggest challenges they're facing in their communities and Innocentive helped to crowdsource between 52 and 85 potential solution
ideas for each challenge from some of the most innovative thinkers on the planet. Now you can help these organizations test these solutions on the
ground in their communities. Donations to projects will be matched at 200% up to $1000 per person per project while $45,000 in matching funds remain.
Terms and Conditions
- The Matching Campaign will run from February 1, 2012 at 12:01 am EST until February 29, 2012 at 11:59 pm EST.
- There is $45,000 available matching funds;
- Donations will be matched in the order that they are received;
- Matching is applied at 200% up to $1,000 per donor per project during this campaign until matching funds run out;
- Each organization may post one project for each Innocentive challenge they participated in to support the pilot phase of the solutions received;
- Projects must be approved and live on the GlobalGiving.org website by January 28, 2012 to be eligible;
- No project may receive more than $15,000 of the total matching funds;
- Only online donations (credit card, PayPal, gift card) and check donations are eligible for matching. Mobile or text-to-give donations are NOT eligible for matching.
- Donations made by check must be received by the GlobalGiving office in Watshington DC no later than February 24.
- All online donations received through the GlobalGiving.org site will be eligible for the matching funds. Donations made on www.globalgiving.co.uk or any GlobalGiving corporate sites (including Nike, Global Action Atlas, etc) are NOT eligible for matching.
- We encourage you to get donations in early, because matching funds will likely run out.
- Please note that GlobalGiving maintains the right to make a final decision on all matters concerning the adjudication of unique donors and final results of the Global Giveback Innovation Challenge.
