Exciting news - we are going 100% online! After analyzing our ability to reach students through the classroom marketplace over the past few months, we have decided to shift our focus to targeting our program directly towards invididual students in the online marketplace. It is our hope that by making our tools and resources available to both students and teachers for free online, we can reach a much broader audience of individuals looking to create change in their communities at a young age. With this shift, we have begun to look for ways to break our DVD videos into smaller components to be streamed online. We have also been developing more interactive activities to be embedded into the site for our students to explore poverty and work through some of the biggest challenges of being a successful social entrepreneur. Our web designer Blair has also been developing some beautiful page templates so keep your eye out for a new website roll-out in the next month or two!
Thank you all for your continued support! If you have questions or would like to learn more about these updates, please feel free to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have been working hard over the past two months to perfect our curriculum, and in order to do so, we have expanded our team! We are excited to have two incredible new team members on board -- Michael, who is working on our website, and Christina, who is working on our DVD. Michael and Christina come with a wide array of talents and skills. We are very lucky to be working with them! Throughout the summer, we will be aiming to complete these portions of our curriculum using the feedback we have received from pilot classrooms so that we may roll out the first phase of distribution to teachers around the country in the fall.
Over the last few months, ChangeEducate has been heavily focused on meeting with teachers and students to get vital feedback as we work to finalize our curriculum. We are partnered with NetImpact, a student club run by Masters in Management Studies students at Duke's Fuqua School of Business, to conduct this research. In addition, we recently presented at a panel discussion featuring Jessica Jackley, Founder of KIVA International, and other local social entrepreneurial organizations. It was a fantastic opportunity to get ChangeEducate's mission out there and network with like-minded grassroots education initiatives.
Finally, we are excited to announce that ChangeEducate will be taking its curriculum around the globe this summer! We are currently working with a Duke University student who will be implementing parts of our curriculum at an entrepreneurship-focused summer camp for high school students in Cairo, Egypt this summer. If you are interested in learning more about these developments or would like to get involved, let us know! Thank you for your continued support.
