Mission

Water Missions International (WMI) is a nonprofit Christian engineering ministry transforming lives through sustainable safe water solutions and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Programs

Founded in 2001, Water Missions International (WMI) has had the opportunity to serve more than two million people in 49 countries worldwide with safe water solutions. Full-time staff serve in nine countries: Honduras, Haiti, Mexico, Peru, Belize, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda, and Indonesia. A Safe Water Project begins with a Community Assessment, in which WMI assesses existing community water conditions and establishes a working relationship with a local organization to determine the most appropriate sustainable safe water solution. As part of the project implementation, a Safe Water Committee is formed and trained on operations and maintenance. WMI conducts a comprehensive health and hygiene program and 12 months of monitoring and evaluations.
