Mission

The MicroLoan Foundation USA is an international development organization whose mission is to to reduce poverty and inequality by providing microfinance services to impoverished women in remote rural areas in sub-Saharan African countries. Our founding principles and values are as follows: Attentive: To respect and listen to others, especially the individuals we try to help. They probably know best what they need. Far reaching: To find people stuck in poverty who would otherwise struggle to support themselves and their families. We will help them build a sustainable life. Consistent: To do what is right with conviction, sensitivity, enthusiasm, and inventiveness. Small: To discover the point of greatest leverage where our small intervention will make the biggest impact. You can take a chance with someone if it is small. We can take a million chances, and then keep going. Open: To use our funds and time in a way we can always justify - efficiently, sustainably, effectively and with strong focus. Our goal is to be the most supportive, innovative and cost-effective microfinance organization, making over one million microloans a year across multiple African countries. We will focus on developing the human capital of the women we help as well as the community as a whole.
