Confident and Determined

The months of February and March have been busy with many activities at Chepkaitit where more than 60 children have been participating in various activities of child development. All this children comes from families which were affected by the post election in Kenya. We are happy that we have brought more than children together through our food support and materials. These children get enough time to interact and other sessions support as they are seen traumatized by what had happened. Brian a small and intelligent boy tells a story on what happens to children once there is a problem and says “am very happy to have food and ball. I will make a good team of children to go abroad and play with other good children and people” This brings strength of the work that you are doing in supporting these children.

Successful Ann

Ann Bosire has finished her secondary school education and now she is focused in helping and supporting other girls by motivating and encouraging them to continue with their education. As girls are the mostly affected by school dropout challenge, Ann is now at her front line in seeing that more girls complete at least their secondary school education. As Ann says that Juhudi has been in her continued support to see that she could get all that she needed in completing her education. “I could drop out of school and get married if it were not the support that you have given me. I got all what I wanted as a girl and this motivated me and maintained me to continue with my studies. Please continue in  supporting  more as this will bring light to many young girls who are out there and in danger of dropping out of school  for marriage as things look tough for them and nobody is there for them. Thanks Juhudi and all those behind this” she says.

Rose and Josephine back to school

It is very impressing to see that Rose Apiyo and Josephine Namalwa have gone back to school. These two girls were smiling and asking themselves questions which we answered together as we approached their Geta secondary school. They were asking where they could be if it were not the support of Juhudi Children in Crisis. Apiyo said that she could be somewhere in the village as a house wife and Josephine said that she could be in the village married but no exact number of children that she could be having. It is through the support of Juhudi that these young girls with a lot of potential that they are back in school. 'Thanks for your continued support' says Apiyo and Josephine.
