East Mississippi Animal Rescue facilitates the adoptions of unwanted and abandoned animals in East Central Mississippi. Animals are given basic medical care and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption (if at an appropriate age.) Other emergency medical care is provided as needed, including heartworm treatment. East Mississippi Animal Rescue has recently initiated a program to provide low-cost spay/neuter procedures to low-income pet owners.
