Mission

Agora Partnerships accelerates the growth of early-stage impact companies in Latin America. We are a global community of entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, and individuals dedicated to using the power of business to effect positive change in their communities. We work only with early-stage entrepreneurs where the right kind of support can significantly accelerate their ability to create impact. Our aim is to help build a more just, sustainable world primarily though our Impact Accelerator program, which provides entrepreneurs with access to social, human, and financial capital. Over the course of the last two years, eighteen businesses have participated in Agora's Accelerator, which provides entrepreneurs with personalized consulting, mentors, leadership development, and the opportunity to pitch to impact investors from around the world.

Programs

Agora works to support impact entrepreneurs through a number of programs: Agora Accelerator - The Impact Accelerator is the product of seven years of research, investment, and experimentation into the best ways to help high-potential, early-stage impact entrepreneurs succeed. The program is focused on entrepreneurs with scalable, profitable businesses that will create measurable impact, and that are looking for growth capital in the next 6-18 months. We provide access to mentors, investors, and industry leaders - while also providing tailored consulting to help companies prepare themselves to be able to attract equity and debt investors. Our fellows program provides entrepreneurs with access to professionals that would be otherwise unaffordable. The program kicks off with a required, week long Entrepreneur Retreat in February. After this, customizable options are available based on the needs and growth-stage of a participating company; most choose to attend the Impact Investing in Action conference, an opportunity to pitch to an audience of impact investors. All participants emerge with a trusted peer-to-peer network of like-minded entrepreneurs who can support one another - even do business together - long after the program ends. Thriive - Thriive Nicaragua is a partnership between Agora and the Arthur B. Schultz Foundation to invest US$5,000- US$10,000 to improve standards of living through support of social microenterprise. Agora is piloting the Thriive Capital Program in Latin America, which targets small and growing businesses with investment in machinery and equipment.
