Mission

The Mission of the Irish Cancer Society is to play a vital role in achieving world-class cancer services in Ireland, to ensure fewer people get cancer and those that do have better outcomes. Our goals are cancer prevention, early detection, and fighting cancer with three programme areas to achieve them; advocacy, cancer services and research.

Programs

The Irish Cancer Society runs nationwide cancer awareness, prevention & early detection campaigns to help people learn how to reduce their risk of developing cancer; provides information andsupport to people with cancer & their families and friends; provides nursing care for people with cancer at the end stage of their cancer journey in their own homes; funds pre-clinical and clinical research in hospitals and universities across Ireland; & advocates for deliver of the national cancer strategy.
