We're halfway through 2015! An Update

Dear friend of MAAWS,

Half the year is already over! Where has time gone? The MAAWS Health Complex has been up to great work in January through May, we have had 1231 patient visits to our facility.

70% of our patients have come back for at least one follow up visit in 2014.

The most common condiitions treated have been:

o Acute respiratory infections (pneumonia, flu)
o Common viral infections (cold, fever)
o Diabetes
o Hypertension
o Asthma
o Pre and Ante-Natal Care

We also have some other great news! We are humbled to be the recipient of the 2015 Human Rights Peace Award awarded by the the United Movement Human Rights, a human rights organization in Bangladesh. You can read more about it on our new blogWe'll be posting more updates about our work on there.

None of this would be possible without your support. Your geneorsity allows us provide health care to people that need it the most.

We desperately need a lot of support for this project to purchase medications, supplies and much needed diagnostic equipment. Please check out the project page and donate at http://bit.ly/gghealthcomplex

You can do more than just donating. To learn about more ways you can help, feel free to contact me at juhi.mawla@maaws.org

April Update

Dear Friend of MAAWS,

2015 has been off to a great start for the Supply Safe Drinking Water to Bangladesh Villagers Project. In this first quarter, we have installed 14 tubewells in 6 villages in our project area of Senbagh, Noakhali, Bangladesh.

Thank you so much for your support over the years. You may be aware of the MAAWS Health Complex, an outpatient health clinic and burn treatment center that provides free and low cost health care to villagers in our project area. Patients have come from 63 villages seeking treatment. Since opening in 2012, we have had over 5,000 visits to our facility.

We still need a lot of support for this project to purchase medications, supplies and much needed diagnostic equipment. Please check out the project page and donate at http://bit.ly/gghealthcomplex

We cannot thank you enough for your faith in us and believing in our mission. Together we can all work to provide people with the opportunities to uplift themselves out of poverty.

March 2015 Update

Primary School Hygiene Education Program
Primary School Hygiene Education Program

Dear friend of MAAWS,

Hope you are all doing well. In 2014, we saw patients from 63 villages in Bangladesh at the MAAWS Health Complex.

In 2015, we've had 424 patient visiting so far. Last fall, we had the pleasure of hosting physicians from IMANA at the MAAWS Health Complex. We've attached Dr. Kaminsky's testimonial on his visit.

None of this would be possible with out your support. Your geneorsity allows us provide health care to people that need it the most, purchase much needed medicine and equipment and support our dedicated medical and administrative stafff.

We desperately need a lot of support for this project to purchase medications, supplies and much needed diagnostic equipment. Please check out the project page and donate at http://bit.ly/gghealthcomplex
