Heroes of the Nation

Instead of merely feeding and clothing children, Heroes seeks to raise up the next generation of leaders. This is accomplished through instilling identity, creating self-sufficient communities, teaching social justice, and emphasizing an excellent education and leadership training for the hundreds of children on our campus.

The 12th Grade Class

I just received a stack of letters from the 500+ students attending the Heroes of the Nation school in Kenya. Our school provides a great education for kids in kindergarten through the 12th grade.

In the letters, many any of our high school students expressed a desire to work hard in order to accomplish their dreams. For students in the 11th and 12th grades, these years are pivotal for them as they look to what the future holds. Thanks to our donors, we have been able to help kids pursue their dreams and go to college. We continue to help these children with a quality high school education and your donations make a college education possible. For orphaned children without a family support structure in Kenya, your assistance makes all of the difference. Thank you.

Our largest graduating class

This past December, we said good-bye to 70 high school graduates who are now pursuing their dreams for higher education. It was our largest graduating class to date! There were mixed emotions as these kids reached a huge milestone in Kenya: completing a high school education. Many of our graduates spend their school breaks and summers back at Heroes of the Nation, volunteering their time to teach or care for younger children. We are proud of students who work hard and have a vision beyond themselves.

Your support helps us provide an ongoing education for high schools graduates. Thank you!

Pursuing the Next Steps

Thank you for your investment into the youth of Kenya. We continue to see our graduates work hard to pursue their degrees: Education, Laboratory Science, Journalism, Business, Accounting, Agricultural Science... the list goes on and on.

We have a new class of graduates who are awaiting their college education. Many have taken their final exams and are waiting to be admitted to the college of their choice. Our other graduates continue to apply themselves in their fields of study.

Some of our graduates have finished their education and are now working. Purity completed a business management course and is now employed. Peter completed a driving course and is working. Kelvin, Michael and Peter are working hard to complete their degrees at Kenyatta University, the #2 university in Kenya.

It is encouraging to see the graduates apply themselves in order to accomplish their goals. Thank you for making this possible!
