AMREF's mission is to empower the people of Africa, through better health, to escape poverty and improve the quality of their lives. We demonstrate that with knowledge and a small investment, African communities are able to improve their lives and create solutions to the health problems they face - achieving health for Africa, by Africans. In all of our projects, communities are partners. This approach ensures that we develop lasting health solutions that meet local needs and are sensitive customs.
