Zion Project

Healing & Empowering War-Affected Women & Girls Zion Project believes transformation in communities begins by loving one person at a time. Our goals are to help women and girls affected by trauma and war to heal and recover their dignity through joining a community of other women and learning a skill that can change their life. We hope to see a revolution in African society through the empowerment of women and girls as they regain their self-esteem and offer strength to the next generation.

Programs

Operating in the war-torn region of northern Uganda since 2008, we offer life changing counseling, support groups, daycare, and employment at our Counseling Center for victims of gender based violence and for women caught in the commercial sex-industry. We run holistic Rescue Homes for girls forced into child prostitution where they receive education and support. We offer parenting classes, English classes, hygiene, employment training in jewelry and handbags, HIV prevention, and tutoring
