The Mariposa DR Foundation, a U.S. 501(c)3 not-for-profit, is a community-run organization that provides sustainable and creative solutions to end extreme poverty in the Dominican Republic, especially empowering girls to achieve their full potential.

Programs

The Mariposa DR Foundation is focused on educating, empowering and employing girls and young women. The Mariposa Girls Leadership Program is an experiential education program that includes English, math, health, reading, field trips, art, community service and environmental education. Mariposa provides girls with a safe place where they can develop healthy relationships, have access to mentors and feel empowered to make a difference in their lives, their communities and the world.
