The American Cancer Society just wrapped up its 11th annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk and thanks to our donors, we have raised more than $140,000! However, we still need your help in the fight to end breast cancer and to reach our goal of $180,000. With the funds you donate to Making Strides, you are helping to save lives in many ways:
The American Cancer Society is the leader in the fight to end breast cancer and all cancers that affect women. We invest the most in research of any non-governmental organization to find, prevent, treat, and cure the disease. Currently, breast cancer research projects are under way at institutions across the country, thanks in large part to funds raised by Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
Thank you to all of our supporters and those who have already donated to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. We appreciate your support in helping to create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays.

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk unites communities to celebrate people who have battled breast cancer, educate people about ways to reduce their risk, and empower communities to join the fight. Every dollar raised will help save lives by helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back against breast cancer.
With just a little over a month until our event, we are still raising money to reach our goal of $152,000. We need your help more than ever in the fight against breast cancer. When you donate people in our community will:
Thank you to everyone who has already made a donation to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. There are 2.5 million breast cancer survivors who celebrated another birthday last year because of people like you who made a donation. We couldn’t do it without you!

THANKS
Firstly, my heart felt thanks go out to all who have donated to our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign thus far. Without your dollars, we wouldn't be able to help people get well, stay well, find cures and fight back against breast cancer, here in our community and across the country. At the American Cancer Society, we are dedicated to providing education, advocacy, research and patient services, at no cost to anyone who needs our help, and your dollars ensure that we continue this important work.
PROGRESS
Our committee of 20 women, (mostly cancer survivors or those closely impacted by the disease) have been working hard to plan our May event. We're adding many elements to our walk this year, making it more than just a walk-it's an event! We'll have children's activities, vendors selling various wares, delicious food, tasty beverages, and many messages scattered throughout the event of how to keep yourself, your neighbor, your sister, your friends; safe from breast cancer, and how to fight back for those battling, or those we've lost.
FASHION SHOW
We held our 4th annual Breast Cancer Fashion Show, show casing models, designers and shop owners who have been impacted by breast cancer. At this event, we raised $4000 to continue our fight against cancer! Maybe we'll see you there next year! (See Fashion Show Picture)
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity so far, and in the future. Please know that when you donate to the American Cancer Society and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, your dollars truly make a difference.

Happy New Year from our family to yours!
