Fall Pumpkin Carving and Riding Camp
Fall Pumpkin Carving and Riding Camp

Happy Trails Riding Center's 2011 programs have been so much fun! In addition to our regular riding lessons and summer camp, we added a week long sports camp this summer.  We held our annual ride-a-thon, celebrated our 5th anniversary, enjoyed a movie night where we played “Racing Stripes” in our arena, held our second annual fall barn dance and fall pumpkin carving and horse riding camp . Our program goes through November, but to date we have had 66 riders enjoy 264 riding experiences, 15 people participated at our sports camp, 21 people attended our movie night and approximately 70 people attended our fall dance for people with disabilities and their friends and family. All of this adds up to countless smiles!  Our season will end with a holiday party on Sunday, December 4th from 2-4pm complete with Santa, caroling and photos with our horses (wearing their reindeer antlers). We hope you can come and celebrate the season. Thank you to all involved with Globalgiving who help make this non-profit possible!

Summer-Fall 2011

Fun at Summer Camp
Fun at Summer Camp

What a great summer we've had at Happy Trails Riding Center. Our day campers rode horses, created works of art and planted. Our movie night raced by with the showing of , "Racing Stripes" - a movie about a zebra who wants to be a race horse. And our 5 Year Celebration and Ride-A-Thon was lots of fun! Although we haven't had the heat that is usually expected this time of year, the horses haven't minded a bit.

Our fall is going to great as well. We have a fall dance planned with the City of West Linn for young adults and adults with disabilities and special needs. We have a fall day camp which will include pumpkin carving and riding.

We thank you for donating and making our programs possible for people with disabilities and special needs!
