Programs

Relief International (RI) provides emergency response services such as food rations, clean water, non-food items, transitional shelter and emergency medical services. Also, RI provides long term health and nutrition services by operating clinics, training health workers, and providing access to clean water. RI's food and agriculture programs educate farmers on how to diversify viable crops, make the best use of the local growing season, and preserve local natural resources. RI education and empowerment program activities include: teacher training programs, building libraries and Internet centers, providing books and classroom furniture to under-resourced schools, and promoting equal access to education. RI livelihood and enterprise programs provide vocational training, microfinance opportunities, and develop promising value chains. RI also contributes to local infrastructure by building schools, irrigation canals, and community centers. RI human rights programs provide legal-assistance, fight trafficking in persons, promote media and journalism, and encourage democratic governance with special attention to the rights of women and girls.
