International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)

At IDV we believe that to provide meaningful relief and reconstruction assistance to disaster affected communities around the world we have to do more than reconstruct buildings. We need to understand and address the factors that made a community vulnerable to the disaster in the first place. Our work will be organised with these factors in mind so we can effect change that far outlives our presence.

He joined the English in Mind Institute (EIM) to help build a brighter future for himself. He's now been able to move into his aunt's house. Even before the earthquake, Bertrand was only able to attend a few short months of school because his family couldn't afford the fees. Your donation will give Bertrand the education he needs to break the cycle of poverty and build a bright future. project reportread updates from the field
