All 27 children at the HTDC orphanage are doing what they do – thriving!
The kids recently had their Easter vacation, and they loved their time off. Like many kids in the US, they enjoyed Easter egg hunts, a special meal, and attended mass.
Now, it’s back to work at school for the final semester of the 2013 school year. All of the kids are doing well in school thanks entirely to you! Your donations provide teachers, school supplies, and, when needed, extra help. Thanks so much for all you’ve given!
Your support not only meets the kids’ day-to-day needs – it also gives the directors the ability to plan for the future. The orphanage directors are not content to continue living in the rented house you’ve helped them secure – they have a piece of land and they’re planning to build a whole new structure. We’ll keep you updated as these plans develop.

Wow! We can’t believe that you funded an entire year of school for Bertrand with just a few clicks and your amazing generosity.
Because of you, we’ll be able to keep Bertrand in school and learning the skills he needs to build a brighter tomorrow. Bertrand’s been doing really well in school – he hasn’t needed even one hour of extra help yet! But if he does, we’ll be there, ready to get him the tutoring he needs.

With your support, the kids at the HTDC orphanage are learning fast. They love school, and the older kids delight in helping the little ones learn their letters and numbers.
But it’s not just about schoolwork at the orphanage. Haiti recently celebrated its major yearly festival called carnival. The staff marked the event with a party – and the kids all dressed in costume! They had an absolutely brilliant time.
Without you, the children and staff at the HTDC orphanage would spend their days worrying about where their next meal was coming from instead of deciding on the best costume for carnival. Your generosity makes all the difference.
