City Year Washington, DC

City Year is an education-focused, non-profit organization that works to end the high school drop-out crisis by deploying young AmeriCorps volunteers (called corps members) to high-need urban schools for full-time tutoring and mentoring of off-track students. As tutors, mentors, and role models, these young leaders - all between the ages of 17 and 24 - make a difference in the lives of children all day, every day for an entire year and help transform schools in Washington, DC.
