The Himalayan Cataract Project strives to eradicate preventable and curable blindness through high-quality ophthalmic care, education and the establishment of a world class eye care infrastructure.

Programs

The Himalayan Cataract Project provides the following programs: Microsurgical Eye Clinics provided to remote rural communities that reach the poor blind. Intensive education programs for local eye care professionals who are thus able to manage top quality eye care delivery. Modern cataract surgery, focusing on high-quality, high-volume surgery available to anyone regardless of his or her ability to pay
