Mission

Agros exists to see rural poor families in developing nations attain economic self-sufficiency, cultivate a livelihood and pass on to future generations the values and resources that enable them to flourish.

Programs

Agros' mission is to empower families and communities in Latin America to build lives of hope and success through holistic community development and agriculture. Agros International directly provides or works with other organizations to provide a holistic community and economic development process that breaks the cycle of chronic poverty for future generations. Microlending programs bolster agricultural initiatives, allowing more crops to be brought to market and small businesses to be established to complement farming. Maternal health, vaccinations and health promoter training are all aspects of our work in the area of health. We build schools and partner with local governing bodies to ensure access to primary school. We help families and communities gain access to safe water and sanitation, and assure that both men and women in Agros villages have a role in village government and decision making. Key initiatives include: --Clean Water and Community Health --Women and Children --Agriculture
