Programs

The organization started in July 2007 building water wells. In 2009 we registered as a 501 (c ) (3) non profit. We have built approx. 800 water wells. Our mission is to help villagers in the province of Siem Reap, move into the 21st Century and becoming self-sustainable. We believe in a hand up, not a hand-out approach. The Women's Health Care & Crisis Center is an integral part of our mission to educate and support women and girls in many areas, such as family planning, health, agriculture and business development, nutrition, parenting and safety. We are organizing bi-weekly meetings with women circles, listening to their needs. We feed 800 children daily at 3 schools. We have two Adult Literacy Programs to educate the parents. We serve approximately 35,000 people in the rural areas of Siem Reap, concentrating our efforts on the Ampil Commune (10 villages each with 1300 people). We are heavily invested in Education for the Children as well as the Community and hold weekly workshops on Hygiene & Health. We believe in a partnership with the Community and ask that they provide their services with helping our agricultural program grow vegetables for the children's daily food. We also involve the community by having them build kitchens in the schools or repair the roofs. We are planning to install solar panels as there is no electricity in rural Cambodia and the generators cost too much to run with gasoline. We need to raise $10,000 per school to be able to include lights, fans and computers in each classroom.
