Nutritious Breakfast, secret to staying healthy!

We gratefully acknowledge the support of our donors, well wishers & supporters, who fund our breakfast program. It is all because of their support that school management efforts to improve nutrition intake has an impact on children success and readiness for learning.

The children are on two-month summer break and taking advantage of the time the school management has undertaken an evaluation to review the breakfast program.  The recommendations are to reflect availability of key food groups in the school breakfast program. The findings were shared with breakfast committee to better meet the nutritional needs of children & foster healthy eating habits.

In the light of the findings and recommendations the breakfast committee also reviewed & reflected the program. The breakfast committee comprises of parents, teachers and management staff that plans, organizes and puts into action their services to make the breakfast moments enjoyable for SMB children.  The committee supervises and ensures that children have nutritious breakfast in a safe environment. Realizing that nutritious breakfast is the secret of staying healthy the committee for the new academic year 2011 to 2012, has planned to bring surprise addition in the breakfast program.

Thank you once again for your support and keep up the great work!

Congratulation! Successful Completion of 1 Year

The project of Main Stream Secondary Education was initiated in April 2010 and has successfully completed one year. It was possible because of the support of our donors.  In this regard Zindagi Trust’s deepest gratitude to its donors, well wishers and supporters who are providing magnificent support to Zindagi Trust students to continue their studies. All students have been promoted to grade 7 and have started their studies in their respective schools. Regional teams paid all schools expenses and supported students in purchasing school course books and uniforms.

This year 60 Zindagi Trust (ZT) primary graduated students out of 300 will get admission in ZT cooperative Private and Government schools across Pakistan for the year 2011-2012. These graduates have shown interest and have met the criteria of studying in grade 6.

This update will special highlight the academic progress of Khanzeb, studying in Nimra Academy Primary and Secondary School, Karachi. He has passed grade 6 with flying colors.  He has secured 2nd position in his class. Khanzeb is talented, hard working and aspires to be an engineer. Well done! Khanzeb, Zindagi Trust is proud of you.

Apart from the position holders, remaining Zindagi Trust students’ academic performance for the year 2010-2011 has been rated ‘B’ which is considered very good. Great! Keep it up.

Once again Thank You!  all our supporters.

Breakfast Program Celebrates its 2nd Anniversary

The management of SMB Fatima Jinnah Government Girls High School highly acknowledges the support of its donors and well-wishers. We are also thankful to the parents for their advice in making breakfast program nutritious & tempting for children. The progress and achievements were not possible without their support.

The school initiated Breakfast Program in April, 2009 with a goal to help more children get the nutrition they need during the school day. It would be really encouraging to know that children are practicing discipline, table manners and good eating habits in school and at home. A plan has been developed to make this event a memorable one.

The breakfast program caters the need of 220 children of KG 1 & KG 2. The appreciation and feedback of parents boost the morale of breakfast committee, comprising of 4 members, who oversee the whole process with dedication and commitment.

Presently, we are reviewing and reflecting on the breakfast program to make it healthier and nutritious. Once again thanks to our donors & well wishers for supporting us in promoting healthy practices in education of young children.

Looking forward to your continued support!
