Programs

PlayMa Mentoring Program: The PlayMa Mentoring Program is a mentoring program which helps Liberian girls stay focus in achieving their goals while forming a long-lasting bond of friendship. The term "Play Ma" is a traditional Liberian term which is used when referring to a big sister-little sister relationship between an older woman and a young girl. Reading Rooms: The purpose of AALG's Children's Reading Room program is to ensure children in Liberia have access to good reading materials. The Children's Reading Rooms will provide free access to books, magazines, videos, audios, and music and internet resources according to the needs of the children. We also provide a wide range of recreational and social activities for which the children can experience the joy of reading and the excitement it brings of discovering knowledge and works of imagination. GreenGirls: The GreenGirls program is a mentoring program in which Liberian girls in rural area work with female farmers learning the trade of farming and marketing.
