Programs

Our programs include: 1. Child malnutrition prevention and treatment programs, that are community based and include nutritional supplementation, well child care, nutrition education for parents, and growth monitoring; 2. Complex care/case management programs, that provide high quality medical care to people with incurable, highly complex, or rare diseases, such as cancer, genetic conditions, or heart defects; 3. Clean water programs, installing slow sand filters in the homes of each family that lives in a community where we have nutrition programs; 4. Women's health programs, focused on the provision of sexual health education, access to family planning, and cervical cancer screening and treatment; 5. Adult Diabetes programs, which provide comprehensive medical care, free medications, home support through visits from diabetes nurses or community health workers, and peer groups. All of our programs are provided in Mayan languages in a way that is culturally appropriate to the indigenous populations we work with.
