Mission

in 2001 with an active program on women's empowerment and advocacy. It aims to achieve its goals through women empowerment, networking, civic education, training, research, advocacy, lobbying and information collection, packaging and exchange. The group derives its strength from the diversity of expertise and experience of its membership and allies. It strives to articulate plurality, human rights, health, security, dignity, freedom, environmental protection, economic justice and peace for all people and open up democratic space for women's organizations in Uasin- Gishu county and North Rift region of KENYA. Vision A society in which women and their children are able to realize their full social, economic, and civic potential Mission To advocate and support the daily needs and rights of marginalized rural poor women to enable them initiate and manage their own socio-economic and development processes. Values Self determination: we believe that women who are empowered understand their value to community and society and are able to demand their right to own property, access quality healthcare, live in a violence free environment and contribute their perspectives to the peace table. Women empowerment: we believe that providing economic resources to women often increases the likelihood of the next generation being healthy and educated (Programs like micro lending and the Community Integrated Farming Initiatives provide the resources women need to access formal markets and thrive in the process). By providing resources to women, we are helping women transition into a macroeconomic level and achieve ownership of their own labour, inputs and profits. Partnership: We believe that working in partnership with development partners is central to effective economic, social and organisational development

The purpose of the project is to promote dairy goat and her products through individuals members' and other organized groups 3. 0: Magharibi Women in Business programme-JWG established Magharibi Women in Business programme, with the vision of becoming a leading center of excellence in enterprise development targeting women in western Kenya. Our mission is to facilitate the development of entrepreneurial capacity among youth and women and as a catalyst for job creation, economic development and poverty alleviation among women. 4.0: WOMEN IN SPORT PROGRAM-Other than the usual women and young girls empowerment programs, JWG also runs the women in sport program based in Eldoret, KENYA and the immediate neighbourhoods whose aim is to encourage and promote participation of women and girls by promoting their abilities in sport and recreation for fun and excellence. Our mission is to advocate, educate, and promote participation of women and girls in sports, physical activity and recreation because we believe that all people should have equal access to healthy lifestyle. 5.0: Peace Building- JWG is involved in efforts to mitigate community conflicts through conflict management and peace building initiatives. We consider the different forms of violence at grassroots level, pitting communities against each, as obstacles that continue to be a challenge and impediment to peaceful co-existence and good neighborliness. 6.0: The Girl Child Program-JWG has established the GIRL CHILD PROGRAM whose aim is to provide a permanent approach to addressing the many challenges faced by the girl child in our region. It has grown out of the recognition that the girl child is in many cases very vulnerable to unforeseen circumstances like the sudden death of their parents, lack of employment and also living in slum areas. 7.0: Women Reproductive Rights- JWG is involved in efforts to promote women's reproductive rights by protecting better health for women and their families. JWG is increasingly building her own capacity to protect reproductive rights during situations of crisis ( like in the recent post elections violence) and also institutionalizing them during post-conflict reconstruction, rehabilitation and peace building. Our work also focuses on the following thematic areas: 1. Improving reproductive health 2. Making motherhood safer 3. Family planning 4. Promoting gender equality 5. Preventing HIV/AIDS 6. Supporting adolescents and youth
