Programs

In the Pacific Northwest, we support resources and events for schools and the public that increase knowledge and appreciation of Africa, including a 'Day of the African Child' celebration, dance performances, speakers, and curriculum. In Africa, we support a women's self-help program in Arusha,Tanzania, that provides sewing and business training to undereducated and underemployed young women and girls, and we support construction of a girls' dormitory in Matale, Uganda, that will help to create a safe environment and enhance the girls' chances of academic success.
