Programs

Camp Amnicon runs week long canoe and backpacking trips for junior and senior high youth from diverse backgrounds; our campers include low-income inner-city groups, groups from foster care organizations and other 'at-risk' campers as well as church groups. The Amnicon experience is one of challenge and adventure; campers enjoy a week of paddling or hiking in some of the most beautiful places in the region, cooking over an open fire, and sleeping out under the stars. Trained and experienced guides teach skills, lead a character-building Bible or secular study, and facilitate the growth of the group as a community. Amnicon is a special place; whether camper, volunteer, or staff, no one leaves unchanged.
