Mia started classes at Parkour Visions one year ago. She began in our basics classes and has put in a lot of time working on her parkour skills both inside the gym and out. For her birthday, she asked her parents for a parkour setup in her room. And they actually did it! Mia has recently graduated to our advanced level classes, and has logged some great times at the last two obstacle course events at the gym.
When Mia started at PKV, our gym was 6,000 square feet and we had a modest class schedule. Now, we're at 10,000 square feet and keep on having to add classes to keep up with the demand for parkour in Seattle. The big space enables us to run events like our recent Spring Obstacle Course Challenge just last week and to run three classes at the same time to catch up with kids after school.
Your contributions have enabled our growth, and, more importantly, have made it possible for kids like Mia to come to our gym and learn the joy of movement.
We can't thank you enough for your help so far. Every time a new student comes to the gym and goggles at all the obstacles and structures you've helped us purchase and build, we humbly tell them that we couldn't have done it without our great community of donors and volunteers. You helped us build out our amazing space. We hope you'll continue to help us as we grow.
The last time you heard from us, we were in the final stages of building out our Seattle facility and running regular classes. And thanks to your generosity, we've been able to reach even more people with the benefits of parkour! We've got more members than ever, and are supporting a number of students entirely or in part with scholarship funds that you've donated. We've also been building more great equipment and opening new classes on what feels like a monthly basis to handle the demand for our structured, progressive curriculum and our playful approach to parkour practice. Just 2 weeks ago, we ran an obstacle course event for adults and kids, check out the link below for a video of our students and friends having a great time on an otherwise dark and rainy night!
This holiday season, give the gift of movement. Your continuing support can help us reach even more people!
Thanks to the support of our community (online and locally), we've got our new space ready for classes! We spent 3 solid weeks taking down walls, putting in flooring, and building our new climbing wall and tower viewing area. Our community of awesome volunteers put in hundreds of hours getting things ready. We opened the new space in late July, and have been teaching regular classes since!
We've still got lots of finish work to do, and now that we have so much space, we're going to have to fill it with more obstacles!
Thanks so much for your support, and thanks in advance for your continued generosity!
