Mission

Sindhica's Mission Conservation of biodiversity, sustainable natural resources management and promotion of Ecological sanitation concept to minimize the environmental foot prints on climate change. Objectives Conservation & Management of Natural Resources Promotion WASH approached for vulnerable communities. Promotion of Basic Health Approaches Promotion of Reproductive health services for women. Promotion of human rights and freedom of Expression Specific Objectives: o Conservation of freshwater resources and promotion of sustainable Irrigations technique to maximize the benefits within limited water resources. o Promotion Fauna, Flora and the recovery of threaten or extinct species. o Recovery, promotion and managements of forests and green Belts. o Capacity building of stakeholders and end users for sustainable natural resources management. o Promotion of Eco sanitation approaches. o Promotion of solid waste management o Promotion of low cost sustainable sanitations approaches. o Provision of basic hygiene supplies and are proper information on behavior practices related to water, sanitation and hygiene o Prevention of vulnerable communities against Water Born and vector born diseases.

Programs

The Sindhica Reforms Society well known as "Sindhica or SRS" is a not for profit, non-religious humanitarian organization. Sindhica start journey of development in year 1993 as community based organization with title: Village Welfare Association, from a small village Majeed Keerio and by the time SRS enhance their capacities and changed name as Sindhica Reforms Society. SRS extend area of operation initially upto district level in year 2006 and now Sindhica is the pioneers of Pakistan's first Biological wastewater treatment system ie Constructed Wetland "CW" and established first successful unit of CW with the support of WWF Pakistan and UN Habitat water for Asian cities programme, South Asia region and promoting this approach country wide. The core theme of Sindhica is the conversation and management of natural resources and provision of humanitarian service for most vulnerable communities, especially in WASH" and "Health" sectors. Sindhica is working as resource organization in country on Constructed Wetlands and total Sanitation approaches and providing technical support to WWF Pakistan, UN Habitat Pakistan and different organizations /Institutes working in Pakistan. Sindhica believes networking with all stakeholders and currently we are the member of different Networks and also leading 2 core networks ie Pai Forest Action Network (Network of 14 NGOs working on environment with WWF), NGOs disaster management consortium (12 humanitarian organizations). Sindhica is also the Co- Chair of WASH Cluster in Shaheed Benazirabad.
