Mission

Among others, ALISOD support education initiatives, support development of Library and Information Communication Technology (ICT) in Tanzania, disseminate information for development, empower women and vulnerable youth community, support Small and Medium Enterprises initiatives, support agriculture sector, facilitate availability of clean water as well as ALISOD support environmental management and health issues.

Programs

First Programme is Library and ICT Development Project (LIDEP). This is the Project which intends to make revolution on Library and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) applications in Tanzania. Second crucial Programme which is under implementation hence need immediate supports is the Access to E-information Programme. This is part of the LIDEP which spearhead the community access to electronic information. Also, ALISOD has Elimu ni SISI Project which brings together education stakeholders such as students, community and government into full participation on school management. ALISOD has also created Micro Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSME) Database through www.entrepreneurs.or.tz Project. The Primary aim of this Project is to help MSME's in Tanzania obtain local and global markets through posting freely their details of their products or services. Also it intends to help consumers from different parts of the world to have access to different products or services from Tanzania's MSME's. The Project plans to register more than 200,000 entrepreneurs by the December 2013. This Project is planned to be inaugurated by one of the Senior Government Official by the end of November, 2012. Again, ALISOD has WIREC Project which aims at empowering women and vulnerable youth across Tanzania. Hence, any one who will be interested to partner or support us is welcomed.
