Hello Friends of AfricAid,
Thank you for your support and generosity to help supply secondary school scholarships for girls in Tanzania. Education is the one of the most valuable gifts you can give to a girl in Tanzania. When a girl is educated, she is 3 times less likely to contract HIV/AIDS. When a girl is educated, she marries later and has few and healthier children. An extra year of secondary school boosts her eventual wages by 20-25%.
But the reality is only 5% of girls in Tanzania graduate from secondary school.
Your donations are creating opportunities for more girls to continue on in their education and giving them a chance to create a brighter future for themselves!
Asante sana! (thank you)
Hello dear AfricAid Kisa Program Supporters,
First, asante sana! Thank you very much for your wonderful support of our Kisa Program. We're so touched and grateful. You are giving young girls in Africa the gift of a brighter, more prosperous, and self-directed future.
The Kisa Program is thriving. Late in April, we will welcome our largest class ever into the Kisa Program, 120. All of these girls will receive weekly training and mentoring in life skills, computers, leadership, and entrepreneurism. We will help to ensure they finish high school and have the tools to succeed when they graduate. We're thrilled about the early success and rapid growth of the program.
Thank you again for your generous support.
Hello dear AfricAid supporters,
We're thrilled to have your support AfricAid in training teachers all across Tanzania! This program, TIA (Teaching in Action), truly has an exponential effect on the educations' of thousands of children.
This year, our annual teach training seminar at Mwenge University will be 100% Tanzanian led. We're expanding the program and will have more teachers attending than ever before. We are also adding an in-school training element so we can reach even more teachers year-round with quality training.
We're so grateful for your support -- asante sana! (thank you)
