Our goals are healthy, educated, culturally and environmentally aware children and adults that flourish within natural environment. HOTC was founded on the belief that one person could make a difference in the lives of children, by supporting them from their place of inner strength.

A water and sanitation committee was elected in Tayakome and receives ongoing technical training (over three yrs) in construction, maintenance and repair of the water and sanitation infrastructure, and how to maintain water quality. H2O Committee Repairs Broken Pipe After Strom.
Tayakome's H2O committee has been trained to repair any damage or leaks in the 6 km water distribution line that runs throughout the village. Recently after a major wind storm in the village a hug tree up rooted took the water main with it. The H2O committee had the broken line fixed within 2 hours. (view small | med | large | orig)
