Our role is to eradicate the Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) epidemic that has widowed and orphaned entire communities, and in doing so disrupt unjust economic systems in Nicaragua that impose abusive conditions upon laborers. We will achieve this through investigative research, epidemiology studies, education, and consumer empowerment. We hope for a world eradicated of man-made epidemics where workers are not employed in hazardous circumstances without adequate safety precautions; and where we as consumers empowered by information, hold corporations responsible for exploitative practices, so that human rights and fair trade policies are universally implemented.
