You've sent Judy to school!

Madicy and Judy
Madicy and Judy

Judy age 5 is so happy and he and his whole family send their love and thanks to you as a generous donor to his cause.

Judy can now join his big brother Madicy at Winners Family school. Judy could not go to school for many years, his mother is a petty trader and father a taxi driver who earns between $5-$6 per month which is not enough to send the boys to school. Judy's mother says that words cannot express her thanks and praise for this wonderful opportunity brought for her lovely sons. Judy is so excited every day, I asked him what is your favourite subject at school...Judy likes Math and being in the school with his friends. He likes to know how to write and make art and games and seeing his brother in the school with him.

With your generous support Judy has received school fees for one year, health insurance, uniform, books and school meals, now he will learn how to read, write and do arithmetic and have a strong start for the future, he can achieve better jobs in future thanks to your support.

Thank you.

You're our Hero!

Preschoolers at PAAJAF Education Institute
Preschoolers at PAAJAF Education Institute

It’s been a fruitful and busy time, the last few months have seen significant growth and blessing for PAAJAF. We move forward in renewed hope. Our heartfelt appreciation to you our PAAJAF Hero.

What has happened? You have helped give scholarship to twelve (12) students – it has been amazing to watch the personal development of the children as they return to school! The children called PAAJAF Kids are: Ebenezer, Gilbert, Mary, Erica, Josephine, Nidaar, Stephen, Christpher, Vera, Judy, Madicy, Hayford and Kelvin. All the children have raised self-esteem, increased confidence, are continuing their studies and performing well and are in good health.

The students are attending schools from pre-school age to University. Ebenezer and Gilbert are at University, Mary, Erica, judy, Madicy, Josephine, Stephen are at primary school and, Nidaar at preschool Hayford at secondary school.

Through micro-projects you've also funded Clara, Lordina and Sara. Great news that Sara has been fully funded through generous and amazing Donors like you, and she will start school after the Easter break on 13th April. Sara is 9 years old and is under the care of her ageing grandmother as an orphan, with your help she will now have her schools fees covered and uniform, books, health insurance and school meals. She is delighted and send her love and gratitude to you.

PAAJAF as an NGO in Gbawe Communty in Ghana has experienced a great strengthening and expansion in our activities through the support of our generous donors and sponsor Linino Organisation, project partners – GlobalGiving and Pulsar International, Individual Donors as well as our supporter UN Online Volunteers and our benevolent and dependable volunteers.

I personally invite you to join our good cause in 2015. Your involvement is vital in the PAAJAF project, here are some ways you can get involved;

Our goals for 2015: PAAJAF Foundation has the following goals and we would like to invite you to our team to help us to bring our dreams to reality:

  • Help us look for project sponsors, partners and donations for the PEI and its literacy programmes, buying land for the school, currently the school in a rented venue.
  • Help us resource the school, library, purchase of school bus with donations in kind or sponsorship.
  • Sponsor 12 additional children by giving the education to increase our number from 12 to 24 children.
  • PEI – Scholarship school project – the preschool students will be increased from 20 to 60 students and help hiring teachers at the school. Also to provide free lunch to the kids at PEI.

Invitation: PAAJAF needs your help in to achieve the above goals, if you can’t help personally, would you please consider passing this along to anyone you think might be interested in learning more about PAAJAF and the work we do? We also in need of volunteers - both online and project site. Thank you for joining us as we restore life to the world's most vulnerable.

Our achievement would not have been possible without partners, sponsors, donors, and volunteers like you. Thank you our PAAJAF Hero.

Project update

We thank our donors for their support to raise awareness about Ebola in Ghana. Public awareness of the disease is vitally important in stamping out the spread of Ebola across communities and help stop the virus in it's tracks. People in the community were made aware to wash hands with soap and water regularly, avoid contact with people who are sick or have died from Ebola, and not to touch or eat infected or sick animals. Unfortunately the project was not fully funded, we are thankful for the support given. Simple measures such as handwashing can contribute to stopping the spread of infection and this information was provided in a community meeting.
