Mission

We empower Guatemalan teens to eradicate illiteracy and lead their communities out of poverty

Programs

Our Leaders and Readers program provides leadership development training and scholarships to Mayan teens so they can complete high school and find employment. In return, these teens give back to their own community leading reading activities with the younger children, developing in them a love and ability to read along with critical and creative thinking skills. The teens become youth leaders in their communities, initiating their own development projects such as opening community libraries.
