Mission

Happy Hands Foundation aims to revive traditional arts and crafts and alleviate the existing poverty level in the villages with a focus on sustainable development and growth. We impact more than 500 artisan families across 11 states of India through research and design education, skill and product development and marketing workshops, facilitate community building through creative strategy and public art. More often than not, artisans abandon their craft in search of better livelihood option, in effect losing the traditional value of his skill, and facing more challenges than ever. We aid artisans through establishing better working conditions, procuring raw material, and by offering technological support. Our goal is to conserve the arts, and preserve our culture as we strongly believe that when one does not know about where he came from, and who he is, he wouldn't know where he is going. We seek to engage the youth in our processes as we feel that culture is dynamic and changes with generations and therefore exploring it within our realms can be interesting as well as enriching.
